1). Host-parasite interactions in disease production and protection
2). Study of host immune response genes and proteins involved in immunity to various pathogens using molecular, genomics and proteonomics techniques
3). Basic immunology with special interest in mucosal immunology and immunomodulation
4). Role of innate mechanisms in mucosal immunology and disease protection
5). Molecular basis of antigen recognition at mucosal surfaces

Recent Research Projects:
1).  Production and characterization of monoclonal antibodies to surface molecules of intestinal epithelial cells of sheep
2). Establishment and characterization of bovine primary intestinal epithelial cells cultures and their immortalization for producing stable cell lines
3). Study of immune response genes after interaction of pathogens with intestinal epithelial cells using genomics techniques
