Rasha Dalaly was born in Mousl, Iraq, a city located 250 miles north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Rasha studied English translation at the University of Mustansryah, Baghdad for two years.  She moved to South Dakota in 2004 and is majoring in Economics at SDSU.

Rasha began teaching Arabic for SDSU in Fall 2006.
