Ricky Crawley
Dr. Crawley is Associate Professor of woodwinds and history at South Dakota State University. Dr. Crawley graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor's in Music Education; Michigan State University with a Master's in Performance in Woodwinds; and Florida State University with a Ph.D. in Music Education.

Dr. Crawley teaches double and single reed lessons. He also teaches world music and jazz history courses.

In the area of public school music education, Dr. Crawley adjudicates and serves as a clinician for marching, concert, and jazz events. He also maintains a private studio for students seeking advanced training. As a contract musician, Dr. Crawley has performed as a "doubler" for the Temptations, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, the Warren Covington Orchestra, and the Burnedette Peters Orchestra. Other performances include solo recitals, large orchestral works such as Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Suite (saxophone soloist) and numerous chamber works such as Cecil Effinger's work for choir and oboe.
