DIANE VANDER WAL
Diane Vander Wal, the Senior Secretary of the department, has served SDSU since 1985 in this position. She assists seven full-time faculty members, and the department’s adjunct or visiting faculty. She manages the Visual Arts Department's Main Office and also acts as an administrative assistant for The Ritz Gallery and supervises three work study students.
She is the mother of three grown children: Rhett, Ryan, and Stephanie, and the grandmother of one granddaughter, Kiersten.
Her hobbies include golfing, darts, watching professional and collegiate football and collegiate basketball. She is also an avid NASCAR fan, either watching the races on television or attending them in person when she can. She enjoys reading, music, computer surfing, and working in her yard and garden.
