Civil and Environmental Engineering - Graduate Program

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers the Master of Science in Engineering degree with emphasis in Civil Engineering.

Program Description

Courses, design, and research activities within Civil and Environmental Engineering are related to structural, transportation, geotechnical, water resources, hydrology, hydraulics and environmental engineering as well as engineering mechanics. 

On-line Degree Description
A Masters Degree in Engineering with an Emphasis in Civil Engineering is available through the SDSU Civil and Environmental Engineering Department  The coursework is currently being offered online (Internet) with a minimal number of campus visits required. Exams and Research will generally be conducted on campus, while course delivery will be over the Internet  Please contact the department for further information.

Core Requirements

At least 2 credits of CEE 702 Advanced CEE – Coloquium (1 cr.) must be included on the student’s plan of study. Core courses in Civil and Environmental Engineering and supporting courses for the student’s program of study must be approved by the student’s major advisor. Refer to the Master of Science in Engineering web page for specific details of additional engineering college requirements.

GRE: Not required

TOEFL: Civil and Environmental Engineering requirement of 525 paper-based, 197 computer-based, 71 Internet-based

Graduate Scholarships available

Graduate scholarships are available to qualified, unconditionally admitted students.  Scholarship applications are due near the end of February with award decisions announced mid-April of each year.  Applications can be picked up at the CEE main office in Crothers Engineering Hall 120.
