I have happily lived a large portion of my life in South Dakota, but I have also enjoyed living in various other states including Colorado, Texas, and Arizona. My mother, brother, and sister all live in the Black Hills area. My husband, Ralph, and I have been married for 26 years and we have two boys - one who attends Black Hills State University and one who is in third grade.
Currently, I teach computer networking to students pursuing computer network specialist degrees at Western Dakota Tech. My technical specialties include Linux Operating Systems, network design, and Cisco networking infrastructure. I previously taught secondary courses for the Rapid City School District, including Computer Applications, A+ Computer Repair, Web Design, and Cisco Academy courses at Central High School and Jefferson Academy.
My past career lives include Electronic and Manufacturing Engineering Technician (8 years) and S.D. Deputy State Fire Marshal (13 years).
My undergraduate degree is from BHSU, and my Masters degree in Education is from SDSU. I am currently pursuing my Ed.D. from USD, and I anticipate completing my dissertation in 2008.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the courses I have taught at the West River Graduate Center. The students and staff are top notch!
