1. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 pm.
2. Welcome/Correspondence:
    Introduced David Hanson, Human Resource Director.
3. The July 15, 2008 minutes were approved . (AM)
4. The September 30 , 2008 agenda was approved. (SK)
5. Treasurer’s Report.
    336375 (CSAC): $611.83

6. Human Resource Report:
    * Encourage participation in Thursday, Oct. 9 meetings for the Pay Date Change.
    Janice Minder will be on campus for the meetings.
    * Good site for employee checking into their retirement - SDRS.
    * Flu Shots will be November 5, 2008 from 6:30 am to 11:00 am. Frost and Swiftel
    Be sure to bring your insurance card.
    * Health Screening - Oct. 7, 8 and Nov. 17, 18, 19, 2008 and April 7,8, 9, 2009.
7. Business:
    Employee of the Month plaques need to be ordered and possibly stored. Mary K. will check into this.
    August 2008 Employee of the Month was Natalie Garry from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
    Her reception was August 26.
    September 2008 Employee of the Month is Thomas Tilley from the Facilities/Services - Animal Science   complex
    His reception was Thursday, September 25.
    October 2008 Employee of the Month is Traci Johnson from College of General Studies.
    Her reception was Tuesday, October 14.
    Fall 2008 Meeting was Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in the Union Lounge (by the Volstorff). 
    Root bear floats were served by the council members. Greg Heiberger did a short presentation regarding the     upcoming university accreditation and handed out surveys. Mary K. announced the recipients of the CSAC  scholarships: Gottschalk - Lydia Farber and the CS Personal Improvement - Julie Westburg .
    Spring 2009 Mass Meeting - Scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2009 in the PAC. We need ideas for speakers.
    Family Fun Night - Saturday, February 14, 2009.
    The next meeting will be Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 9 am in Ag Hall 150. Cora Olson will host.
