Employee of the Month Guidelines

Nominations: Any SDSU employee/faculty member/student may nominate a career service employee for Career Service Employee of the month. The nomination packet includes: the nomination form and a minimum of two supporting letters. The employee's immediate supervisor must endorse the nomination. Please indicate on nomination form if nominated employee plans on retiring within the next 12 months.

Criteria: The award is given for outstanding contributions to SDSU (loyalty to SDSU, fellow workers, and students; dedication to position; etc.) as viewed by the Council members.

Other Information: Nomination forms are available in the President's Office, AD 222, from Career Service Advisory Council Members or from the CSAC web page.

Nominations and supporting information are retained for 12 months from the date of receipt. Supporting information may be updated any time during that 12 month period.

Career Service Employee of the Month nominations and supporting information are reviewed each month by the eight-member Career Service Advisory Council. The Council members rank the nominations and a winner is selected according to the combined rankings of the council members. The recipient of the award is notified the first day of the month in which they win.

Recipients of the award are not eligible to receive another Career Service Employee of the Month Award for 10 years from the date of their last award.
