You can schedule a visit to the Admissions Office any Monday through Friday, even during the summer, during our office hours (8 am to 5 pm, CST). Here's what a typical visit is like:
Talk to an admissions counselor. We'll help you get on the right track for admission to SDSU. Topics covered include admission requirements, cost of attendance, financial aid, residential life, student activities, and other issues of interest to you.
Talk to a faculty member in your area of interest. If you have an area of study in mind, we'll make an appointment for you with a faculty member in that area. He or she will be able to answer your questions about academics, job placement, career opportunities, and other aspects of your intended major.
Take a campus and residence hall tour. Our University Ambassadors, which are students who currently attend SDSU, will show you around campus and take you through some of the most important buildings here at SDSU, including a look inside a residence hall and a residence hall room. This walking tour of the campus generally lasts about an hour.
Talk to students. Our students are friendly and they can give you an idea about what SDSU is like. Feel free to ask questions of your tour guide and other students you meet!
Setting up your appointment:
If you would like to arrange an individual visit to our campus, you can either complete the online reply card or call our Admissions Office at 1-800-952-3541. It's best if you contact us one to two weeks in advance so we can make the necessary faculty appointments and send you a confirmation letter with a campus map, directions to our Admissions Office, and a parking permit.
